My very first blog post was on the exact same topic…. how I hardly felt like it was “worth it” to start a blog since I hadn’t done it from day one. Looking back, it’s obviously such silly and flawed thinking.

My boy started preschool this year and we celebrated the day before with balloons and blowing out candles (no cake… maybe next year) I found myself planning how we could do this every year and finally I just had to stop planning and enjoy the moment!

My kids’ dad loved to say “that’s what we do” about all kinds of things–which meant they were set in stone. Came to drive me nutty. I do love tradition in some ways, but I also believe in not being bound by them. I love the idea that making the best of every situation can be a tradition.
